Brimbank City Council
the brief:

Creative Brimbank is the creative arm of Brimbank City Council, located in Melbourne. Every quarter, they release a program showcasing local creative events taking place, with physical copies being distributed. I was tasked with refreshing the style guide and layout design for Q1 2025. The brief was to simplify while maintaining vibrancy to reflect the creativity within the locale.
the execution:
The process involved designing a number of mockup layouts specific to different types of events for approval. During this stage, I focused on creating designs that were minimal and easily accessible with a premium on negative space. In an attempt to give more room to the artwork for each event, I dedicated large portions of each spread to these images. Further to this, I wanted to ensure the colour palette was punchy but not interfering with the content.
Once these were finessed, I proceeded to input the content for Q1 2025 into the booklet for final approval and production.
